I really liked this game a ton. It reminds me of a project I’m working on. It was scary and fun at the same time.
Just wondering, do you mind checking out my horror game, “The Arcade”? (You don’t have to, but I’d sure like some feedback :)
But anyways, nice job on the textures!
Hey there, thank you so much! :)
Yeah sure, I'll definitely give it a shot.
Just wondering, how are you doing? I feel like this game deserves a lot more recognition, and I’m gonna help you out with that :)
Hey there, doing well thanks and yourself? :)
That would be amazing! Thank you so much! How would we go about doing that? :)
I’m just gonna let my friends know about it and stuff like that.
Ah awesome! :) Thank you so much!
I've been running some ads to get exposure but nothing has come from it yet.
Heya, I see you used UE4 so I wanted to mention some things to you, especially concerning your level design:
In the overall it`s okay for an indie game, especially when you see that you are no studio but still you can put some small effort into it by adding post process, planar reflection and some LUTs on it.
Also you could touch the colour grading a bit and turn it into something more negative or positive, depends on what kind of atmosphere you want but you need to admit the shading was quite not there so really give ambient occlusion and bloom a try.
Here`s a vid on how you could adjust all these settings and I hope to see your game improve over time!
Hi there, thank you for your comments. I have no idea what those things are but I will give the video a watch and see what I can do. :)
So i gave the game a go, couple things i encountered i noticed..
The forest part my 1080 ti was hit hard, looked like 15fps or something
The flashlight was like 99% useless i have to admit that lol
Maybe have it so that it shows how many left you have to collect, like 1/8, 7/8.. or was it my fault for thinking i only needed 7 :(
And when you start the actual game you gotta go in binaries and hit the exe.
here's some footage on the side note, rated 5/5
Hellooo! :) Thank you for playing CLOWN.
When I release the next update, I'll make it say, "Cards collected: 1 of 8" etc. :)
I'll also monitor performance while in the forest and see if there is something I can do, it might just be all the foliage. ;)
Hopefully the game was scary & fun enough in the end though! :)
Will give your video a watch in a bit.
Cheers!
I gave your video a watch and it seems the torch doesn't work at all with your setup. I had another person say the same thing and they also had an nVidia card but it isn't with ALL nVidia cards as I have tested it on my laptop with a 1660 TI... So I'll definitely be looking into that. I am running an RX 590. To give you an example of how it's meant to work, the torch is supposed to shine as it does in the images on the right here.
